'Retro Christmas' ('Retrojul') is an exhibition of printed Christmas textiles that focuses on the 1950s and 1960s.
A large number of fantastically festive cloths and hangings with printed Christmas motifs are displayed in the 'Retro Christmas' exhibition. Visitors are also invited to make the acquaintance of both known and unknown designers, such as Ulla Ericson-Åström, Gunilla Schildt Stuart, Rolf Lagerson, Brit Bredström, and Maud Fredin Fredholm. The Christmas patterns from the glory days of textile design, the 1950s and 1960s, evoke the joy of familiarity, but also become natural collector's objects for younger generations. The exhibition is produced by Östergötlands museum, with text by cultural historians Anna Lindqvist and Marie Odenbring Widmark.
